Michael E. Reed Michael Reed has practiced in Barrie since 1972, building a large clientele base consisting of second and third-generation individuals. An extensive portion of his practice involves residential real estate covering new homes, condominiums, re-sales and refinancing, as well as commercial real estate and leasing. Michael also practices in the area of wills, powers of attorney, estate planning for disabled individuals (Henson Trusts), and the utilization of trusts, estate planning, and administration of estates. Cayley A. Rodd Cayley acts for many individuals and businesses in the practice areas of Business and Corporate law, Not-for-Profits and Charities, Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration, Commercial Real Estate and Leasing and Residential Real Estate. Cayley joined the firm in January of 2018 after relocating from Cambridge, Ontario, where she practiced for 9 years with Pavey Law LLP. Cayley currently represents large and small corporations as well as individuals in and around Simcoe County, helping with their business and personal legal needs. Laura Rosati Laura Rosati joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) in 2019 as an associate in our Barrie real estate group. Laura graduated with merit from York University, majoring in Psychology and earned her Law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. Laura’s practice focuses on all aspects of real estate law, including residential and commercial transactions, mortgages, refinances and transfers. Laura is a board member of both the Barrie Real Estate Lawyers Association (BRELA) and the Child Advocacy Centre Simcoe/Muskoka. Kelli Preston Kelli graduated from Osgoode Hall with an L.L.B. in 2002. Kelli was called to the bar in 2003 and became a partner of a litigation boutique firm in 2004 which provided her with a large breath of knowledge in a number of areas of law. She joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) in 2013. Kelli manages the Whitby, Bowmanville and Haliburton offices for DSF. Kelli’s litigation practice areas encompass, real estate and mortgage litigation cases including mortgage recovery, estate litigation, bankruptcy, securities litigation, professional negligence, and general corporate/commercial litigation. Working on cases at all levels of court in Canada, Kelli has counselled and co-counselled several significant cases at the trial and appellate level. In addition to litigation, Kelli also practices real estate including residential and commercial, mortgage refinancing, wills and estate planning, franchising, corporate including share purchase and asset purchase agreements. Prior to her call to the bar in January 2003, Kelli was a law clerk for 13 years. In this capacity, she gained significant experience working with prominent senior lawyers in the commercial litigation field, with a special emphasis on solicitor negligence claims. Amanda Hoy Amanda Hoy joined Devry Smith Frank LLP in December of 2018, focusing on corporate law and real estate law. She was born in Oshawa and raised in Clarington. Amanda graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Justice studies from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa. Amanda completed her law degree at Michigan State University College of Law in 2015. While attending Michigan State, she was a member of the Canadian Legal Association, an organization, which provides support and mentoring services for incoming and current Canadian students attending MSU Law. After obtaining her law degree, Amanda moved back to Ontario and articled with the firm McGibbon, Bastedo, Armstrong and Armstrong in Oshawa, prior to her call to the bar in September of 2017. Louis A. Gasbarre Louis Gasbarre joined the Toronto commercial and residential real estate group at Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) in January 2019. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016, graduated from the University of Leicester Law School and obtained his Masters of Law with a concentration in Business Law at Osgoode Hall Law School. Timothy Deeth Joining Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) in 2014 was very much a homecoming for Tim. Following his call to the bar in 1975, Tim practised with (what was then) McClintock, Devry & Pierce for 11 years before leaving to start his own firm. Throughout his career, Tim’s practice was focused mainly on Family, Real Estate and Wills and Estates Law and he has vast experience in all three of these areas of law. He has appeared as counsel in family law matters in all levels of courts throughout Ontario. Tim particularly enjoys meeting and dealing with clients on a one-on-one basis and always welcomes the opportunity to get to know new clients and help them with their problems, whether it be navigating through a difficult separation or divorce, assisting with the administration of an estate, advising clients on Estate Planning issues and preparing their Wills, or witnessing the excitement of clients in their purchase of a new home. As a resident of Don Mills for 40 years, Tim has also been very active in the Don Mills Civitan Club, a community and social service club which, among its numerous projects, operates the hockey programme at the Don Mills Civitan arena for over 500 participants a year ranging in age from seven to 18. In the past, Tim has been a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer (formerly the Official Guardian’s Office), has sat as a Dispute Resolution Officer (a pilot project in the Scarborough Family Court), and has provided volunteer services at the Agincourt Community Services Association. He has been a member of the Consent and Capacity panel of lawyers each of whom must be specifically designated and approved to appear before the Consent and Capacity Board. Tim graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1973, and after articling with (what was then) McClintock, Devry & Pierce, joined the firm upon his call to the bar in 1975 and practiced with them until 1986 when he opened his own law firm.
