TORONTO COMMERCIAL LITIGATION LAWYER

Shawna M. Sosnovich is an experienced Toronto business litigation lawyer and is a partner of Devry Smith Frank LLP (“DSF”). Shawna was called to the bar in 1999 after completing her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.

Shawna has been involved in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including commercial contract disputes, wrongful dismissal and employment law matters, human rights applications, commercial leasing and tenancy matters, civil fraud litigation, real estate litigation, title insurance litigation, banking recovery matters, injunctions, collections, shareholder disputes, oppression remedies, and more.

Shawna’s clients include a broad range of corporations and institutions, including banks, lenders, title insurers, employers, commercial landlords, trustees in bankruptcy, receivers, commercial tenants and property managers.

Shawna has significant courtroom experience, having appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court in Ontario and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Shawna has also appeared before the Ontario Human Rights Commission and the Committee of Adjustments in Toronto. Shawna has also participated in private mediations.

Shawna prides herself on devising and negotiating practical and alternative dispute resolutions for her clients wherever possible to do so.
